The series Women's Adventures in Science introduces readers to pioneering women who have made remarkable contributions in a range of scientific fields, such as robotics and forensics. Each book focuses on the career and accomplishments of a woman who is currently active in her discipline. By sharing both the personal and professional journeys of these scientists, the series offers readers meaningful insights into the factors that have shaped their paths in science.
The DarCan Foundation is spearheading the translation of this ten-book series into Arabic. This initiative is designed to encourage Arab girls to explore scientific careers by presenting them with accessible and relatable stories of women in science. The translation aims to broaden the reach of these inspiring narratives and foster a greater interest in scientific disciplines among young readers in the Arab world.
This project is made possible thanks to a generous donation from the founder, who has dedicated the initiative as a legacy to honor his late father, Mr. Abdullah Alkhazim Alghamdi (1920-2023).
